The successful applicant will provide comprehensive technical support on single cell sequencing products and service projects. The Application Scientist will be a critical member of the Singleron commercial team and acts as a trusted partner for our customers both pre- and post- sales. 

 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Provide customer support for our single cell sequencing service from cologne lab, including project management, pre- and post-sales customer support and troubleshooting. 
  • Provide product support by consulting and discussing directly with customers on their research projects; creation and review of application materials (manuals, application notes, presentations, flyers, digital marketing contents, etc) for single cell sequencing products and applications. 
  • Prepare and provide customer presentations, to small groups and large audiences on the use of Singleron technology in clinical research.
  • Plan and deliver on-site or online training (both wet-lab and bioinformatics)
  • Participate in new product development projects as a representative of the technical support team

 

Position Requirements:

  • M.S. degree in life science discipline required, Ph.D. in oncology/immunology/human genetics is a plus
  • 3-5 to years of hands-on experience in biochemistry or molecular biology laboratory, and/or bioinformatic experience required
  • Experience in single cell sequencing experiment and data analysis is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing to travel up to 50%

With the rapidly expanding business, we are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to drive and grow sales within the clinical research field (Universities, Hospitals, Clinical Research Organizations, Pharma, Biotech and similar). The ideal candidate will be located either in Germany (south), or France/Spain (French speaking), and covering corresponding territories. 

 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Build, develop and maintain multi-level contacts within selected territories;
  • Meet and exceed sales target by actively driving the sales of the company’s single-cell products and services
  • Effectively identify and interpret customer’s requirements, provide scientific and technical consultation to customers on Singleron’s SCOPE single cell technologies, maintain and support the full customer journey of our products and services
  • Negotiate and close deals and support all procurement processes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with key opinion leaders in the field
  • Work closely with application scientist and project manager to ensure successful delivery of service results
  • Plan and implement effective business strategies and support marketing activities

 

Position Requirements:

  • Strong molecular biology or medical background – BSc minimum, PhD preferred
  • In-depth knowledge in relevant areas, such as single-cell sequencing, oncology immunology, genomics, next generation sequencing
  • Sales or customer service experience in Life Science as a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Passionate to offer professional help and consultation to customers, effective communication to customers and internally
  • German/French language as a plus
  • Work remotely (home-office), willingness to travel up to 60%, mostly within territory, can also be within Europe

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of single-cell next generation sequencing data and preparing comprehensive client-facing reports
  • Working together with clients to gain insights into their data
  • Establishing new workflows for the analysis of single-cell sequencing data
  • Establishing new tools for the analysis of data from newly established in-house assays
  • Supporting infrastructure for data storage and analysis

 

Qualifications

  • Master or PhD in the field of bioinformatics or biology/molecular biology with extensive bioinformatic experience
  • Experience with scripting languages as R, Python, and Bash. Knowledge of Django is desirable. Knowledge of low level programming languages such as Rust is an advantage
  • Comfortable using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and working with high-performance computing clusters
  • Prior experience with single-cell RNASeq data analysis methods and packages is desired
  • Familiarity with pipeline building and workflows (CWL, WDL, etc.)
  • High motivation to drive research and development in a start-up setting
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of the best practices for versioning control and documentation

  • Hands-on experience with automatic cell counters and fluorescence microscopy
  • Previous experience in next generation sequencing would be a plus
  • Experience in a clinical research laboratory is desirable
